Presentations...

Personal Brilliance

Jim's keynote presentation, Personal Brilliance, puts the spotlight on mastering everyday habits that create a lifetime of success.  Whatever your definition of success, you'll achieve it only when you enhance four natural abilities in your life and work - not once in a while, or just when the going gets touch, but every single day.

The Personal Brilliance keynote presentation lays out a dynamic and effective plan to:

  • Harness the power of awareness, curiosity, focus, and initiative.

  • Break through the barriers that stop us from expressing our greatest potential.

  • Make personal innovation art of our everyday lives.

  • Stretch beyond our comfort zones to embrace positive change.

The Habit of Innovation

In order to reach the top you must possess the habit of innovation. Yes, innovation is a habit. You are born with certain talents but everyone can learn to apply those talents in a creative and innovative way that guarantees success.

This presentation is filled with stories of innovation from both the past and present. Because many of the innovations are not yet widely available the audience gets a glimpse of the near future.

The three keys of innovation highlighted are awareness, curiosity, and focus. These keys are woven into the concept of You, Inc. so that the message creates a motivation for action within each individual in the audience.

This provocative message is available as a keynote presentation.

Communicating Organizational Change

Communication is the cornerstone of successful management of organizational transitions. For the purposes of communicating organizational change, communication is defined in this presentation as information that changes behavior in front-line employees. Applying this definition as a test of our communication practices will help us determine if we are simply disseminating information or if our communication is making a difference.

This presentation describes the four keys to communication that changes behavior:

  • Sergeants carry the message

  • Communicate at the local level

  • Communicate performance

  • Communicate face-to-face

This valuable message can be provided as a keynote or half-day workshop.

The Organizational Impact of Intranets

Intranets - using the technology and protocols of the World Wide Web internally - represent one of the most important new technological advances in business. There is a great deal of hype. We wanted to know what end-users think of this technology and surveyed hundreds of users at a number of organizations. The results of our study provide an insight into how people feel about technology in general and more importantly provide sound recommendations for successful Intranet deployment.

The session is intended to provide concrete examples of the impact of various Intranet content offerings so that the participants can make informed decisions regarding the implementation of an Intranet within their organization in general, as well as to determine the correct approach, for them, in implementing various services.

This engaging presentation, coupled with the Organizational Impact of Intranets study results on audiotape and accompanying booklet, provide a rich learning experience.

Beyond the Horizon - Intranets

Communication is critical in today's business environment. Project teams are scattered around the globe. Project managers are more investigative journalists than managers, desperately trying to find out what's going on. The executive team is in the dark. The competitor's sales force has more information than your own.

Innovation goes unnoticed and is therefore stifled. The information age brings us so much data we don't know what to do with it. A manager we know had 512 e-mails over one weekend! When will it end?

It won't. The only way to survive is by learning to use this technology to our advantage. We've all heard about the promise of the World Wide Web - the Information Superhighway - and the obvious advantage of reaching multitudes globally with our message. But Internet technology can also provide a tremendous benefit to internal, corporate processes.

A Practical Seminar for Business People

To find out how using the Internet internally (In tra net) can increase productivity, join us for this educational seminar. Can you afford to miss out?

"New computer networks called Intranets make it easy for employees at companies like U.S. West, Morgan Stanley, and Turner Broadcasting to
share information and collaborate on projects. Best of all, the technology's cheap and it's safe."     (Fortune)

Our seminar focuses on the business applications of this technology so you won't be overwhelmed by a wave of techno-speak. Whether you are technically experienced, or looking for innovative management tools, you'll leave the seminar with answers to your questions such as:

  • What is an Intranet?

  • How can this technology help my organization excel?

  • What technical and human resources are necessary to take advantage of this latest technology?

Seminars can be scheduled for delivery to your organization.

Are You Valuable, Or Are You Overhead?  If You're Overhead, Go Home!

Envision an organization where there are no turf wars, with happy people supporting each other without questioning motives, departments working with each other seamlessly, and people taking initiative, looking for value-added activities and abandoning overhead activities. Sound like Nirvana?

This presentation defines the Professional Services Model of leadership and organizational design and how it can and should be applied to every business at every level. The basis of this model is the creation of a culture where employees constantly monitor their individual contribution of value as well as the impact of business processes on the bottom-line.

This valuable message can be provided as a keynote or half-day workshop.
