Building Relationships
May 17, 2000

Instructors:
Dr. N. Elizabeth Fried
William L. Reeb, CPA

As CPAs expand their services and form alliances with other organizations, the need for relationship-building through improved communication skills, innovative ways to motivate others, and effective meeting management is underscored. This session focuses on overcoming obstacles and barriers to communications, demonstrating active listening techniques, increasing awareness of gender differences, and seeking opportunities to give personal and public praise to others.  These skills will help you build organizational trust, increase group productivity, and energize those around you. You will learn about meeting management and facilitation, highlighting criteria for determining if a meeting is necessary and how to run it effectively. You will learn effective techniques for enhancing success and development like praising, coaching, and much more.
